Supercheap Auto catalogue and specials of the week

Supercheap Auto: car parts, the catalogue and what to check before you go

A mail-order business that turned into 340-odd stores

The story starts in 1972, when Reg and Hazel Rowe began selling imported battery chargers and other car accessories by mail from their Brisbane home. The first shop followed in 1974 in Fortitude Valley, and the name became Super Cheap Auto in 1981. Today Supercheap Auto is the biggest piece of Super Retail Group, a company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange since 2004 and based in Strathpine, Queensland. The group count reached 341 Supercheap Auto stores across Australia and New Zealand in 2024, which explains why a New Zealand catalogue turns up in searches from this side of the Tasman.

Sister brands under the same roof are BCF for boating, camping and fishing, plus Rebel and Macpac, so a shopper heading into Australia for a roof rack might also be sizing up camping gear. Most branches are around 700 square metres, with smaller 400 square metre shops and a handful of 1,000 square metre Superstores, including Alice Springs and Caboolture. The brand is also a long-time motorsport name, with naming rights on the Bathurst 1000 from 2005 to 2020. On this site it sits in Other next to Autobarn, and Anaconda is another outdoor name worth a look.

Using the catalogue and the weekly specials

The current catalogue runs 46 pages, landed on a Wednesday and is typically valid for 19 days, covering 21.10.2026 to 08.11.2026. Plenty of people hunt for a supercheap auto catalogue pdf or a catalogue sale pdf, but a browsable page is easier to scan when you know what you need. The specials usually sit around servicing and consumables, so supercheap auto specials on oil are an obvious thing to look for ahead of a weekend job. Batteries are another regular search, and the in-store battery side is worth asking the shop about.

A fair sense of where Supercheap Auto fits in the market helps. Group results in 2023 pointed to auto maintenance as the top category, with the company linking that to more customers doing their own car work. If you are ranging beyond parts, check Autobarn, the other big auto chain on this site, then price tools and garage storage against Bunnings Warehouse and Mitre 10. For the rest of the garage, House & Garden and Big W are the next stops.

Club membership, returns and special orders

Supercheap Auto runs a Club program you can join in store or online, and a plastic card has been part of it. The details have changed over the years, so a review from 2022 describing a price promise should not be taken as the current deal. Read the terms on the official site. The same goes for supercheap auto trade accounts for workshops, which this page cannot confirm in detail. For the national picture, the Australia hub lists every active catalogue.

Returns are worth reading before you buy. A third-party summary of the policy says change-of-mind returns are accepted for 30 days on unused items in original condition with proof of purchase, which can include your Club purchase history. It adds that custom or modified products are excluded unless faulty, and that bulky or hazardous goods such as a battery should be arranged with the local store first. Faulty items are handled separately. This is why a supercheap auto special order, or its return policy, needs a quick check with the shop first, since nothing public confirms how long one takes or whether it can go back.

Opening hours differ by branch, and so does what is on the shelf, so use the store finder for supercheap auto near me and ring ahead for anything heavy. If a weekend sale looks good, confirm the dates in the catalogue first. For groceries on the same trip, Coles, Aldi and the Groceries hub sit one click away.
