Everything You Need to Know About Game Catalogues and Savings in Nigeria

Publication schedule and validity

Game publishes its catalogues for Nigeria on a regular schedule, but there is no active edition on this page right now. As soon as a new catalogue is released it appears here, together with its start and end dates. Game belongs to the Groceries group in the Nigeria hub, where you can see which similar stores have a current catalogue.

To see the next edition early, check this page again a few days before the usual start day. New editions are added as soon as they are published, and an upcoming edition is shown with its start date, so you can plan your shop and compare it with the current catalogue.

Treat the dates as part of the offer. A price in a catalogue is valid only between the printed dates and normally while stock lasts. Some products are available only on certain days or in selected stores, so read the note next to each price. Previous editions stay in the archive section for a limited time and are marked as expired.

Before you leave home, open the current edition and tick the items you need. A short, specific list is the simplest protection against buying things only because they are on promotion. See also: Spar and CMart Supermarket.

Loyalty programme and private labels

Whether Game links part of its deals to a loyalty card or app is stated in the small print of each catalogue page. We do not assume it for any price: if a page mentions a card, an app or a membership, read the conditions on the retailer's own website before you plan a purchase.

Many retailers sell own-brand products alongside national brands, and they often appear in the catalogue as price-led items. Compare the unit price of an own brand with the national brand it replaces before you decide, and check the pack size, which is not always the same.

Return rules, price promises and opening hours differ by retailer and country, and they can change. For the current terms, always use the official Game website or the information in the store, and keep your receipt when you buy discounted items.

Offers that are advertised for a single day or a weekend are usually marked on the page. If one of them matters to you, plan the trip around it rather than the other way round. See also: Spar, CMart Supermarket, Justrite and Groceries.

Game compared with other stores

In Nigeria, the closest alternatives to Game in this group are Spar, CMart Supermarket and Justrite. Their current editions differ in size: Spar has the longest one with 11 pages, while the Game catalogue has 0. Page count says nothing about price, but it shows how many deals you can compare in one place. Open two of these stores side by side and compare the same basket before you decide.

To compare fairly, pick five products you buy every week and note their unit price in each catalogue. Do it for two or three stores and repeat it once or twice, because the cheapest store changes from one week to the next. The Groceries hub lists all stores in this group, and the Nigeria hub gives you the full overview.

Game catalogues are updated on this page whenever a new edition is published, so you can bookmark it and check in once a week.

If a price in the catalogue looks unusually low, check the conditions next to it. A limit per customer, a minimum purchase or a requirement to buy several items often explains the difference from the regular price.
