eXtra in Saudi Arabia: electronics, appliances and how its offers work

Who is behind eXtra

If you search for extra ksa or extra saudi, you are looking for the consumer electronics and home appliance brand of United Electronics Company, a Saudi retailer known as UEC. It was registered in Riyadh in the early 2000s, and its headquarters sit in al-Khobar. The company's shares have been traded on the Saudi exchange since late 2011, so it is a listed business rather than a private shop chain.

On Saudi Arabia the brand sits in the Other section of this site, because it sells technology and household goods rather than groceries. That matters when you compare it with a hypermarket such as Carrefour or Lulu: those stores sell electronics as one aisle among many, while eXtra is built around the category. Its own pages describe a range of well over ten thousand products, grouped into technology and computing, mobile and communication, home appliances, entertainment and gaming, personal care, and smart living.

Finding a store and shopping online

The retailer reports roughly fifty branches in Saudi Arabia, with a few more in Bahrain and Oman. Counts differ between pages and years, so do not rely on one number. Instead, use the store locator on the official site when you type extra store or extra near me into a search box. The same goes for extra riyadh, extra jeddah and extra khobar: branch details and opening times vary, and the locator is the place to confirm them before you drive across town.

The online shop launched back in 2011, and the company later added a marketplace for verified outside sellers. Home delivery is part of the service, and so are installation and setup, which is useful for air conditioners and large appliances. Technical support and repairs through authorised service centres are also listed. Compare these services with a furniture and home specialist like IKEA, which focuses on assembly and design, or with mixed retailers like Hyper Panda and Al Raya. The wider Other page lists more options.

Many shoppers pay in instalments. eXtra accepts the Tamara buy-now-pay-later service for every category except gift cards, and the plans can be split into anything from two to twenty-four payments. Refunds on Tamara purchases go back through Tamara, not as cash or a gift card, and the store's normal return and exchange policy still applies. Read the terms page before you choose a plan.

Reading offers and sales on this page

eXtra advertises through a flyer, and this page tracks it. The current leaflet runs from 01.10.2026 to 31.10.2026 and has 1 pages, so open it and read it page by page rather than relying on a headline. When people search for extra offers today or extra offers ksa, they usually want a quick look at what is discounted in the kingdom, and the catalogue here gives that overview in one place. Keep in mind that the leaflet is a snapshot: an item on the page can still sell out, and online and in-store terms can differ.

Shoppers often search for extra offers national day when the holiday approaches. To compare, check the extra sale lists for TVs, phones and kitchen appliances against what other stores post, for example SACO, a home and hardware chain, or Viva. A simple method works well: note the exact model number, then search for that model elsewhere.

A few habits help whatever you buy. Check the warranty period and whether extended protection is offered, ask whether delivery and installation are included for large items, and keep the invoice. If you only want groceries this week, go back to Saudi Arabia and browse Nesto or Dukan instead. And when you read an extra sale today post on social media, confirm it against the official site before you travel.
